Connect is different from Follow and Match
- Follow is one-way: it helps you keep up with an artist or venue.
- Connect is mutual: another verified GigxMatch professional must accept your invitation.
- Match helps artists form a lineup. It is not a professional connection.
Send or respond to a Connect invitation
- Open a public artist or venue profile.
- Select Connect if the profile is accepting invitations.
- Review incoming invitations and your accepted connections in Connections.
- Either connected user can remove a connection later.
Only active, email-verified professional profiles can use Connect. Artists also need an approved public artist profile; venue managers need an active approved venue.
Mutual connections
When both people have allowed public connection previews, an artist or venue page can show a small list of professionals you both know. This does not disclose email addresses or private contact information.
Use Account Settings to control whether you accept invitations and whether your connections appear in mutual-connection previews.
Collaborate again
On Connections, accepted connections may show shortcuts such as Invite to show (pre-fills the lineup) or List a show. GigxMatch may also send an occasional email reminder to collaborate again with people in your network.
Past shows (GigxMatch verified)
Completed GigxMatch Shows you accepted on the lineup appear in Past shows (GigxMatch verified).
- Every completed Show you took part in is listed. You cannot remove it from this list.
- Choose Public or Not public for your own artist profile only.
- Other artists' visibility choices do not affect your list.
- Collaborating artists, the Show page, and the date stay visible in the dashboard. If there are more than 10 collaborating artists, open the full list in a popup.
- On your public artist profile, use the pen icon next to Past shows (GigxMatch verified) to open this management page.
- Admin-hidden shows do not appear on this list or on public profiles.
- When a Show completes, you may receive an email reminding you to set Public / Not public and inviting you to collaborate again.
A past GigxMatch Show does not automatically create a Connect invitation.
