A clear artist profile helps venues and organizers understand your style, contact readiness, and fit. You do not need every field filled to appear in the public Artists directory.
Before you start
- Sign in and open your dashboard.
- Verify your login email. Unverified accounts cannot become public.
- Open Artist Profile Edit.
Minimum publish profile (required to go public)
Complete these items, then save your profile so GigxMatch can mark you as active and list you publicly:
| Required | Where |
|---|---|
| Stage name | Basic |
| Bio / introduction | Basic |
| Artist unit (solo, duo, band, etc.) | Skills |
| At least one instrument / role | Skills |
| At least one music genre / style | Style |
| Contact name | Contact |
| Contact email (usually your verified account email) | Contact / Account |
| Contact phone | Contact / Account |
After these are done and your email is verified, your profile can show as active and appear in the artist listing. If the status still shows inactive, save any profile tab once to refresh the flags.
Optional for publishing (recommended later)
These improve your page and matching, but are not required to become public:
| Optional | Notes |
|---|---|
| Occasion / event types | Optional. Add when you know which event types suit you. |
| Weekly availability timeslots | Optional. Share usual free days/times when ready. |
| Typical set length | Helps organizers plan the show. |
| Performance languages | Useful for bookings. |
| Technical requirements | Share setup needs before contact. |
| Profile photo and banner | Builds trust on the public page. |
| Typical fee | Optional; you can hide it on the public page. |
| Past performances and media links | Portfolio polish. |
Admin approval (blue tick / custom URL) is separate from going public. You can appear in the directory before approval.
Step-by-step workflow

- Preview your public page from the dashboard or your public artist URL.
- Add optional fields when you can — occasions, availability, photo, languages, and technical needs.
- Update name, phone, language, password, and security in Account Settings.
Quality checklist
- Keep names, contact details, and bio accurate before you share your public link.
- After major edits, check the public page as a visitor would see it.
- Use Notification Center for approvals, invites, and applications.
